Statisticians Page

This page is for statisticians from each school.  I am also going to post a link to the NCAA football stats manual.  There is some very interesting information available that deals with weird things that happen during a game, for instance, player A runs ball 7 yards then fumbles.  Ball is batted back behind line of scrimmage where player B from same team as player A scoops up the ball and advances it 9 yards past line of scrimmange.  Is player A awarded 7 yards rushing on the play?  And is player B also awarded any rushing yards?

We want our stats to be as accurate as possible and to be honest in keeping them.  Hopefully you will have time to read through this and maybe have some questions answered along the way.  If you have something that occurred during your game and not sure how to chart it, write a detailed description of the play and send it in.  We will start a frequently asked questions page if we have some entries.  No names will be associated with the question, so hopefully you won't be afraid to ask.  Having a knowledge of the right way to keep football stats will hopefully make it more enjoyable to do, because none of us are getting rich doing it!! :)

I also want to post the names and numbers of each stat person from each school so if there are questions, we can confer with each other.  Please send me the names and numbers of your primary and/or secondary stat person(s).
